在EQ1，各种职业都拥有自己的Epic武器任务，并且各职业都拥有多种版本的Epic武器，而在EQ2，对于职业的Epic武器任务，改变为由公会成员通力合作的Epic任务，以此来取得Epic武器，目前而言被称为Epic武器任务都是连续性的任务，而且该任务串通常是Norrath的一个重要的背景故事，十分值得你去解这些任务串。
